Home Remodeling in Shoreline, WA
As households grow, change, or start working from home, the house has to keep up. NorthLight helps Shoreline homeowners rethink kitchens, bathrooms, and floor plans, add space where it is needed, and plan the whole project with one design-build team.
When Your Shoreline Home Needs to Work Differently
Shoreline sits just north of Seattle, within the North King County service area NorthLight has worked in since 2014. See Areas We Serve for the full list of communities, including nearby North Seattle and Edmonds.
Changes at home rarely come one at a time. A family needs a better drop zone and laundry space, the kids need a bathroom that works for them, or a main floor that once felt fine now feels closed off. A good remodel starts by sorting out which changes matter most, then designing them to work together.
One example from our portfolio is a midcentury home in Shoreline’s Richmond Beach neighborhood. NorthLight remodeled the full main floor, including wall removal, high vaulted ceilings, and a large new door to the deck. An addition made room for a large laundry room and a new mudroom, and the kids’ bathroom, primary bathroom, and closet were updated.

Planning the Right Changes, Then Building Them
NorthLight’s Develop → Design → Construct → Complete process gives you room to weigh options before anything is built.
Develop
We talk through what your household needs and provide an estimate. Then come onsite measurements and conversations about how each room is used, leading to a layout that confirms whether walls, plumbing, or electrical need to move.
Design
Concept layouts let you compare approaches, such as reworking existing rooms versus adding on. Our design specialists help with selections, and the team can create a rendering so you can see the finished space. Trade partner quotes and three budget checks lead to a fixed-price Construction Agreement.
Construct
You meet your Lead Carpenter before work begins. The schedule is set at the start of construction and updated regularly, and Buildertrend keeps progress updates and questions in one place.
Complete
After a final walkthrough, your 12-month workmanship warranty begins, and we reach out 10 to 11 months later to take care of minor adjustments.
