Home Remodeling in North Seattle

Remodeling a North Seattle home often involves more than one room and more than one trade. NorthLight brings design, engineering coordination, permitting, and construction into one plan, so kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-home projects are managed by one remodeling, design-build, and construction team.

Coordinated Remodeling for Existing North Seattle Homes

North Seattle is part of NorthLight’s Seattle-area service area, which includes neighborhoods such as Laurelhurst and communities just north of the city like Shoreline. Our Areas We Serve page lists every community we work in.

A remodel in an established home has a lot of moving parts. A kitchen update can affect plumbing and electrical in nearby rooms. An addition has to tie into the existing structure and floor plan. A bathroom meant for aging in place needs the right clearances from the start. When different people plan each piece, homeowners often end up passing information between them.

NorthLight takes that job off your plate. Our designers, Project Developers, and Lead Carpenters plan the work together, bring in engineering or architectural input when it is needed, and handle permits and inspections. You sign one contract and receive a fixed-price Construction Agreement before construction starts.

Remodeling Services That Work Together

Many North Seattle projects combine two or more of these services. We plan them as one coordinated scope.

Kitchen Remodeling

Kitchen projects range from new cabinetry, counters, and lighting to a reworked layout that changes how the kitchen connects to dining and living areas. If walls, plumbing, or electrical need to move, we confirm it during pre-construction rather than mid-build. Kitchen remodeling

Bathroom Remodeling

Primary, guest, and hall bathrooms designed around storage, tile, fixtures, and daily routines, with accessibility features planned in from the beginning when you want them. Bathroom remodeling

Whole-Home Remodeling

When several rooms need work, one scope, one budget, and one schedule keep everything aligned. That can include opening up a floor plan or converting space the household no longer uses well. Whole-home remodeling

Additions

When the house needs more square footage, an addition can make room for a larger kitchen, a bedroom, or a primary suite. We design it to connect with the existing home and look at zoning and building code considerations early.

Aging in Place

Zero-threshold showers, grab bars, wider doorways, lever handles, and level transitions, designed so the home stays comfortable and safe over the long term. Aging in place

From First Meeting to Final Walkthrough

Every NorthLight remodel follows four stages. Here is what each one covers when a project touches several rooms or adds space.

1. Develop

We start with an introductory meeting about your goals and budget, followed by an estimate. If you move forward, the team measures the house, meets with you onsite, and sets a layout that accounts for every room the project affects.

2. Design

Concept layouts, selections, and any engineering, architectural, or permit needs are worked through together so the pieces fit. Exact quotes from trade partners and three budget checks lead to a fixed-price Construction Agreement.

3. Construct

NorthLight handles permits and inspections. Your Lead Carpenter manages the jobsite, a construction schedule is set at the start and updated as work moves forward, and Buildertrend keeps the timeline and your questions in one place.

4. Complete

A final walkthrough confirms the finished work, and your 12-month workmanship warranty begins.
